What happens when Korean rock meets Two Door Cinema Club?

You get Drug Restaurant.

Mistake is the title track to Drug Restaurant's (formerly JJY Band) second studio album. It’s the first K-rock song I’ve ever heard, and I was won over by the first 10 seconds of it.

As soon as the instrumental kicked in, I was hooked. It’s electric, addictive and has got some serious Two Door Cinema Club vibes. Drug Restaurant already had a rock sound going on, but I'm digging the punk/alternative direction they're headed in.

And I fell hard for Jung Joon Young's voice. The song started off low, crescendoed to a tense hook, then exploded into the chorus. Young's deep tones and rich, expressive vocals carried the melody so beautifully through it all.

Also, please tell me I'm not the only one that thought Young looked high/drunk throughout the entire video.

The MV was really well shot, and the dark lighting perfectly complimented the mood of the song. It presents us with a story anybody working in hospitality will be able to relate to. But I'm sure we're all wishing that, like in this case, it turns out it was just a dream. If anything, ending the MV in this highschool short-story fashion was the only thing I didn't like about it.

After hearing this, I'm really hoping K-Rock is brought more into the mainstream.
