Californian born Andrew Garcia rose to fame when he made it in the top 10 of American Idol Season 9.
Currently, he is more well known for his song covers and association with other Youtube celebrities like Ryan Higa and Chester See.
Andrew's rendition brings a softer touch to the original song from Drake's 'Views from the 6' album. He brings an almost country/soft rock vibe that strips back the rap sections whilst adding his own chords.
What I find surprising in the comments section, is the number of people suggesting that playing the song sounds better at 1.5x speed. I would disagree, in that Andrew designed this cover to be appreciated at a slower pace than most mainstream music you hear on the radio.
We look forward to seeing more smooth covers (and originals) by Andrew in the future.
