In anticipation for the Season 2 Premiere of 'Empire,' I've put together the ten best songs from last season for your listening pleasure.

From songs that touch the heart like 'Lola,' harder tracks like 'Drip Drop' and the oh so awesome, cougar-condoning 'Nothing But a Number,' my BEST of 'EMPIRE' playlist will have you begging for more.

I've put together ten of the best songs of Season 1, but in case you want more, I also tacked on a RUNNERS UP playlist for kicks. It was really hard cutting songs down!

Again, if you haven't watched 'Empire,' just do it man. 'Empire's' songs are remarkable, not because of Timbaland's production or Jussie Smollett or Yazz, but because every song tells a real story and draws from the television show.

Context is powerful. Without it, you have throwaway songs that have little or no link to what's actually going on (I'm looking at you 'Glee').
